TM Season 1: Episode 1 Dressing in character

For the first challenge, models were required to dress as a character in a movie/a character.

CRITIQUE

Cinderella:
Our judges had mixed opinions on this one. One judge loved it and thought Cinderella did well at conveying her character (well she IS Cinderella)

Adam's critique: Your facial expression needs work, but I think you sold the outfit and stayed in character. Just remember to model your hands better as that right hand looks a little awkward.








Second call out goes to Rosario Dawson.
She stayed in character as Mimi, the face and pose is interesting though I have to say it doesn't sell the clothes as well as it could've.

Miss Piggy:  This was a great start for you in the competition, Miss Piggy. Great outfit, great face and you're selling the jacket and dress you Diva. But again, watch those fingers and hands when you're modelling. Your hands ruin what could've been a great photo. 

Jennifer Lawrence: This was a great photo as well, your action pose really captures it. If you want to stay in this competition you'll need a better facial expression than that. 

 Neil Patrick Harris: A dynamic pose is always good, but again watch your hands when you're modelling. The left one looks scary and the right one looks deformed. The facial expression is great with this photo it somehow works.












 Halle Berry: The pose is a bit model 101. It would've been great if you had conveyed Catwoman in action rather than just doing a basic pose. You have the goods, and the costume. Now it's time to work it.

 Elijah Wood: This is a good facial expression from you, but it would've been nice to see a full body shot. You were somewhat difficult to work with. Remember to work with the photographer next time!







Emma Watson: I can see potential here, but the face is a bit blank and you need to really commit to holding the wand rather than just looking blankly at the camera.

 Anna Paquin:  Anna, Anna, Anna. Your facial expression needs work but yes I do believe you can do better. You certainly have the potential to go far. Again with the hands. What is it with the hands this episode? Your left looks awful and your right looks like it's stuck together. Remember model from head to toe.












THE BOTTOM THREE

 Keira Knightley: You could've had a perfect photo but your facial expression ruined the photo. Remember to keep it pretty(but high fashion of course) Your right hand again could use a little work. I do like the pose, but if you had just worked on your facial expression then













Josh Hutcherson: Josh you could've done so much more with Peeta (such as the bakery etc) but instead you just looked like a kid in the forest.

 Robert Downey Jr: Your photo as Sherlock Holmes just didn't cut it for the Facebook Next Top Model contest and we're sorry to tell you you are going home. However you seem to have applied for next season and got through so maybe this time you'll do better.
